While all Miniature Australian Shepherds are smaller than the standard Australian Shepherd, Miniature Australian Shepherds can come in three different size categories. There is Miniatures (the largest), Toys (the middle group) and Teacups (the smallest of the small!)

In order to be a Miniature Australian Shepherds, a dog must be under 18in. From there they just get smaller and smaller! The size of the dog doesn't change their functionality or abilities as pets, though it can make a difference in how well they will fit into your home and lifestyle!
